COUPLES THERAPY
I work with couples who strive for a deeper and more meaningful relationship with each other. Whether you are struggling with communication problems, conflict, or feelings of disconnection, I am here to provide support.
Through the application of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), I assist couples in understanding and constructively articulating their emotions, fostering a deeper level of emotional closeness and connection. Utilizing the Gottman Method, I support couples in recognizing harmful patterns and substituting them with positive communication and behaviors to establish a more solid foundation. Additionally, I use an Attachment-Based lens that recognizes the impact of early caregiver-child relationships and development related to emotional well-being, focusing on fostering secure and healthy attachments in current relationships.
Whether through in-person couples therapy or telehealth sessions, I extend an invitation to those ready to take the initial steps toward enhancing their relationship. It would be my privilege to collaborate with you in navigating difficult conversations.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I collaborate with teens, adults, and elderly individuals who want to make changes in their lives but are unsure where to begin. My style is warm, supportive, trauma-informed, and judgment-free so that you can share your innermost thoughts to gain clarity and self-awareness.
I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, Strength-Based, and other therapeutic approaches, tailoring treatment to your unique challenges. This may involve addressing thoughts that aren’t serving you, exploring your life story for insights into personal challenges, and building on your inherent strengths and coping mechanisms for resilience. I also incorporate mindfulness practices, which involve cultivating present-moment awareness and breathing skills as a way of connecting the mind and body.
Additionally, I am a trained EMDR therapist (by the Institute for Creative Mindfulness). This therapy is designed to help individuals process distressing memories and alleviate the emotional and psychological symptoms associated with traumatic experiences. It often leads to less anxiety, better sleep, and improved relationships, making it easier for people to move forward in their lives.
TELEHEALTH/ONLINE THERAPY
I provide online therapy sessions for California residents using a HIPAA-compliant video system. Online therapy is a convenient way of getting support from the comfort of your own home, eliminating the need to travel to a therapy office. Additionally, it provides greater flexibility so that I can accommodate individuals who require evening or weekend sessions and may find it challenging to find in-person therapy during those times.
